Jac'Dell Chance Postpartum Doula, BFPC
Jac'Dell Chance is the Founder/CEO of The Full Moon Effect Postpartum & Womb Care serving Metro Detroit (Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties) She is the mother of three beautiful children, a birth activist, advocate for young mothers, trained doula, breastfeeding peer counselor and more!
In 2010, the birth of her third child, Lyric, ignited a flame within her that she yet had realized was there. Inspired by her doula at the time, she began her life transformative journey of service to mothers, babies and her community. Once a teenage mother herself, she understood clearer than ever, the absolute need for better maternal and infant health, especially in urban communities.
Originally by trade and passion, a "food conscious" caterer, she has been a DONA (Doulas of North America) trained doula since 2011, she is a HealthConnect One trained breastfeeding peer counselor, and newly this year the local Project Coordinator of Metro Detroit Birthing Project-an extended family model providing a continuum of practical support starting from pregnancy, throughout the first year ollowing childbirth.
She is an active advocate in her community discussing the importance of pre and postnatal care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and inequities in maternal and infant health care.
JacDell aka Ladyjade The Doula is extremely passionate about helping woman & families understand the natural flow and sacred aspects of the childbearing process: or "The Full Moon Effect".
